How to apply

Register and submit an online application for qualifications endorsement via the BOI LTR system (or via VFS Global ). The main applicant must first get a document number .

Wait for qualifications endorsement – you will be notified within 20 working days . Additional documents may be requested .

Once approved, update information and upload additional documents in the LTR system, choosing visa issuance location (Thailand or overseas). For issuance at TIESC in Bangkok, you must be in Thailand and submit passport pages with all Thai stamps . The pre-approval process takes 1–3 working days .

Make an appointment for visa issuance within 60 days of the endorsement letter . Print TM.94, STM.8, appointment confirmation, and payment forms .

Attend the appointment at TIESC (One Bangkok, Parade Zone) or at a Thai embassy/consulate overseas. Bring all required documents and pay the visa fee (50,000 THB per person) .

Do I need a Thai work permit?
No, Work-from-Thailand Professionals are not granted a work permit because they are working for a foreign employer remotely from Thailand .
What if I don't have health insurance?
You can alternatively provide proof of Thai social security benefits or a bank deposit of at least USD 100,000 in your name held for at least 12 months .
