Requirements in detail
Only citizens of Australia, Japan, Canada, South Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, the USA, or the UK can apply.
Applicants must be either an employee of a foreign company working remotely from Czechia for more than 3 months, or a freelancer holding (or obtaining) a Czech trade license (OSVČ).
The main applicant must prove income of at least CZK 60,530 per month (1.5 times the average gross annual salary).
Remote employees must provide a foreign employment contract in English with a certified translation into Czech, proving employment during the stay and the ability to work remotely.
Freelancers must hold a Czech trade license or provide an invitation from the relevant trade department proving entry in the register.
Spouses/partners need a marriage certificate or registered partnership document with apostille and certified translation; children need a birth certificate with apostille and certified translation.
Applicants must first be included in the program by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, which usually decides within a week.
